Frequently asked questions.
Why not just share the window I am presenting?
Because it is rarely one window. A region lets you show a browser and a terminal side by side, or half of a wide monitor, while chat and notifications stay outside.
Which permission does it need?
Screen Recording, so the app can show what is inside the frame; grant it and relaunch once. Accessibility is optional and only used to fit a dropped window to the region.
Does it work with Teams and Google Meet?
Yes. Neither has partial-screen sharing of its own; both can share a window, and the “Region Active” window is exactly the region.
Can I move the region during a call?
Yes. Drag the strip above the frame and the shared picture follows. If you prefer a region that never moves, turn that off in Settings.
Does it run in the menu bar?
Yes. The menu bar item activates and deactivates the region and shows a red dot while it is active. ⌃⌥R does the same from any app.
Which platforms?
macOS 14 or newer on Apple silicon today.
Which computers are supported?
The current desktop apps require macOS 14 or newer on Apple silicon.
Can I buy or download it now?
Public purchases and downloads are coming soon. Private development releases are not public installers.
How will the license work?
The launch plan is a one-time purchase with a 14-day trial, a year of updates, two Macs per license and a 14-day refund window.
